The E. F. Albee Theater opened on Fountain Square after Christmas in 1927. Photoplays and vaudeville "novelties" were big draws in 1930, with emphasis on music and talking as sound was a recent innovation. On screen this week was Office Scandal, and on stage was silent screen actress Leatrice Joy.
